But to accomplish this, you can't just coast by.  You can't settle for being simply "good enough"  or merely "ordinary" ...

There’s something uninspiring about being merely ordinary. Settling for "good enough" doesn’t really trigger an urge in people to rush out and tell their friends to come join them in experiencing the “ordinary.”

"Hey, guys, I found this really ordinary place that I think you should visit!" is not shouted from the roof tops and in this chaotic world where the average person is bombarded with hundreds of thousands of television, radio, billboard, magazine and newspaper ad messages, ordinary just doesn't stand out.

You have to be extra-ordinary, if you want your group (and your web site) to stand out.

Get People Talking
People love to talk. Fact of life. No way around it. And they talk about things they feel strongly about and are interested in. That's why bad news usually travels faster than good. When you're upset, your emotions are fueled by strong feelings. But remember, people can also have strong feelings about positive things they are excited about or interested in.

So, the goal of a group - your group - is to give members - your members - a place where they can share ideas, thoughts, seek input from others, get questions answered and make friends. And whenever possible, get fired up, excited about something, get talking about what they're excited about ... your group, your blog, your Hot Topic Discussion ... your job is to get a discussion going about what they're interested in, become a valuable resource to them and, as a result, get them talking about what you, your business, your web site taught them or how you helped them ...
